Seven AAU Karate athletes were chosen to represent the United States on behalf of the AAU at the ISF High School Games in Morocco. In this article, meet J.J. Yu-Robnison from Triangle\'s Best Karate.
J. J. Yu-Robinson, 15 years old and is one of just seven athletes representing the United States at the ISF High School Games in Morocco.
A little about J.J.:
10th grader at Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh where he plays on the Football Team
Member of Triangle's Best Karate under the instruction of Sensei Steve Robinson & Sensei Cyndy Yu-Robinson
Won Gold in Kumite at the WUKF World Championships (Dublin, 2016)beating 120 competitors in 7 matches in Mini-Cadets (ages 13-14).
Won silver in kata and three golds and one silver in kumite at the 2017 AAU National Karate Championships
Promoted to Nidan (second degree black belt) in 2015 and leads 3 karate classes a week
